Tonight Dave Matthews played Ozzy Osbourne in a Saturday Night Live sketch. Those who not familiar with Dave seemed to have no idea that Dave was playing Ozzy. DM did such a good job acting that he fit in the sketch as a true SNL comic! As one who was in the audience, I am proud to tell this story first-hand. The duo of Dave Matthews and Kenny Chesney roused the audience to their feet Wednesday night at the Country Music Awards (CMA) as their performance of “I’m Alive” closed the awards show with a standing ovation.
This live video of Halloween was shot at the Tabernacle on April 21, 1998. The strong Dave Matthews Band performance of Halloween makes sense, given that it was played shortly after the release of Before These Crowded Streets.
