Dave Matthews Band has spun together a documentary, titled “Hello Again.” The series is broken up into five parts. Here we have part 1 and part 2. The series was shot by Director Sam Erickson who directed “Road to Big Whiskey.” Part 1 features the tour opener from 2012 in Hartford, CT and Part 2 features the venue SPAC (with clips from a 2010 performance). The entire series features behind-the-scenes footage, each part of the documentary features a different venue.

Always FUN watching you guys – thanks for the good good memories….and a good good good time!
love my dmb…..they are great anywhere they play…..always an uplifting experience
Awesome! I’m bettin’ part 5 will be at the Gorge this summer…and I will be there :o)
I know this will attract negative responses…. but man I’m sorry Coffin just doesn’t bring-it like Leroi, not at all! I’ve seen another blog where a comment seemed to get a bunch of backlash, but I just don’t get that. I mean really DMB fans? Leroi MADE some of the songs great with soul and a smooth quality that Coffin just refuses to play with, rather selecting to play with a high-energy, but in my opinion – almost spastic – and definitely not a soul-soothing, playing style. Coffin is an amazing artist, and some say it’s a good change-up, but not in my opinion… not at all…
The other week was my 3rd show with Coffin. 3 more to go for this tour. I hope something clicks in him for one of these…
Matthews on Moore’s playing: “It was so bright… that we could all see it so much all of the time, when he would put that horn in his mouth and make the most astonishingly honest music that could knock you over, and it would sink right to the middle of you.”
Exactly. There is no sinking in to Coffin’s music. Appreciated-observation, yes. Coffin’s music dances amongst itself, and although it may be a great dancer, it just doesn’t take you to the same places. It doesn’t get in you and lift you up, pick you right up and gently circle you around the room and beyond, perfectly intertwined and swaying amongst the other tones and melodies, and always setting you back down in the right place.
Leroi is certainly missed.
Saw DMB in Bethel Woods…best venue ever. He was beyong great!!!Have seen him a ton of times. Very disappointed in his fans. It was a pristine place (Woodstock area) and his fans left the earth a mess!!!! I was embarrassed. Beer cans/garbages etc. Dave always says “leave only your footprints” but I think they were too drunk to hear1!!! DAVE NEXT TIME…..TELL THEM TO BE KIND TO THE EARTH!!! SIMPLE…PICK UP YOUR GARBAGE!!!! They were even giving out garbage bags and they still didn’t do it. Shameful!!!
SPELLING CORRECTIONS – Saw DMB in Bethel Woods…best venue ever. He was beyond great!! Have seen him a number of times. Very disappointed in his fans. I will come to the defense of Coffin. I am a lifetime DMB fan and my love for Leroi will never be lost, but Coffin is a better player. I think people (me included) loved his quiet demeanor and his pure soul. I’ve seen them both live…a few times. Coffin brings it MAJORLY. He’ll never fill Lerois shoes. And I don’t think DMB ever intends to do that. But he CAN and DOES play the music at Lerois level and beyond. SEPT 11 2012 can’t come soon enough!!!!
