What was a rumored break is no longer a rumor. Dave Matthews Band is taking the year off in 2011. DMB bassist Stefan Lessard confirmed the hiatus yesterday on his personal blog and the official site updated their website with a message to fans. Please share your thoughts by leaving a comment.
A pleasant surprise came through my e-mail box today when a Danish reporter forwarded video clips of his interview with Dave Matthews, filmed this past Sunday (March 14, 2010). Dave speaks on interesting topics spanning from the Band’s music, to President Barrack Obama.
Dave openly spoke about potentially making another album with Steve Lillywhite, while giving his take on how Steve Lillywhite would fare as Simon Cowell’s American Idol replacement. Enjoy the interview!

Big Eyed Fish was played as the show opener at the Falconer in Copenhagen last night (March 13, 2010). Shelved by DMB for over 3 1/2 years, Big Eyed Fish was followed by Bartender in the setlist.
